Hailing from the infamous, southside of Chicago where she was born, Karamel iz emerging, as a new & fresh force to be reckoned with.
Since the tender age of 7, Karamel's been singing in various church choirs, girl groups, shows, festivals, & clubs.
Now, she's more than ready to breakout on her own and let her distinct voice be heard.
She's been all over, from Minnesota, to Missouri, to Michigan. Spending a big part of her life, in Grand Rapids.
A poet, who acknowledges Jackie Mayweather (family member of famed boxing champ, Floyd Mayweather), as the one who made her realize the God-given gift of being able to birth song out of poetry.
Influenced and inspired by her now deceased cousin (Christopher Washington), her music-loving mother, and her father (a reknowned vocalist, himself)...she iz now, driven by God, her lovely daughter, the gut feeling that she was born to sing, family, friends, and the different experiences from meeting different people, everyday.
She appreciates all music across the board, so expect anything from her at any time. She drops names like Anita Baker, Jill Scott, Diana Ross, Shanice, Common, Talib Kweli, Bun B, & Outcast, amongst others...as her main musical influences.
